About Us |
|
In 1968, on the suggestion of a friend, I enrolled in a rug hooking class at Berry's of Maine, a rughooking and needlecraft supply shop in Yarmouth, Maine. Unbeknownst to me that a few years later I would buy that business and merge it with my established interior decorating business. For the last twenty years I have concentrated in the art and trade of traditional rug hooking. Having studied at the Massachusetts School of Art and teaching in that field in New York, teaching rug hooking came naturally. In my early years, I taught at the YWCA in Portland, Maine. Currently I conduct classes and workshops in my shop, The 1840 House, and at workshops and seminars held around the country. |
