All instructors are certified McGown Rug Hooking teachers.



Nancy Blood, Oswego, NY
A McGown accredited teacher with 35 years learning and teaching experience. Nancy specializes in hooking with a painterly approach in fine shading and wide cut shading in all areas of flowers, leaves, scrolls, fruit, crewel, Art Nouveau, animals, Orientals and pictorials. She has written two dye books and working on more. Nancy has two important jobs, editor of the McGown Guild Newsletter and a position on the Editorial Board of Rug Hooking Magazine.

Dianne Kelly, Hiram, OH
Dianne has two passions, one is Wide Cut and a well color planned rug. She will teach how to color plan your own rug, how to hook with wide cut strips with textures. Also different hooking stitches, and hooking for an antique look. She has been a "featured teacher" at Sauder Village Rug Show, and also been featured many times in Rug Hooking Magazine. Dianne has the ability to create a unique look in her hooked pieces. She operates the Woolen Cottage and designs rugs for her catalog.

 Margaret Wenger, Lancaster, PA.
Margaret was introduced to rug hooking at the Landis Valley Farm Museum in Lancaster, PA when she was teaching a rug-braiding class there. An accredited teacher and has been hooking rugs for twenty-four years. At times she has been able to modify traditional patterns to suit the alternative materials, holding private classes in her home. Hooking, dyeing and using these materials in her class. Margaret has prsented various rug-hooking techiques to numerous Guilds and groups in Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
