Rug Binding for small rugs

Hi,

I recently finished a 24 x 36 rug (from a kit) and I want to finish it with rug binding.

The instructions in the kit were rather vague, and being new to this, I have no idea what rug binding is.

I've started calling carpet suppliers and workrooms, but I am having little luck.

Please help!!
