I have acquired a hooked rug 9 x 6.5. The rug it seems was stored in a garage. Mice chewed the fringe off one side. The fringe is chewed up to each single "knot". Can I repair this myself? Should I have it professionally repaired. By the way, I checked and found repairing is $15 per foot hand sewed and .75 per foot machine sewed. Thanks for your advice.
