Art of Rug Hooking by Anne Mather suggests using
carpet tack boards used to install wall to wall
carpeting, cut slightly smaller than width of rug.
Secure tack board to wall, carefully hanging rug
on it. I've not tried it yet but am searching
for same thing you are. See what you thin of this
book. Use the library and get it via interlibrary
loan if they don't own it.
