TRIP DETAIL
This customized Rug Hooking Workshop Tour of England is a 10 night/11 day guided excursion that includes an abundance of hooking events such as local hooking club meetings, mini workshops, numerous classes with our instructors, and impromptu sessions for hooking.
We visit renowned heritage sites, scenic attractions, classic cities and spectacular countryside. Our lodging is at high quality village inns, B & B's, and country manors. The trip includes all breakfasts, picnic style lunches, two special evening meals and other cultural and historical activities.
Also included are: van transportation, service of two expert guides and master hooking instructor Carol Harvey-Clark, administrative costs and all VAT on the above. Not included are air fare, airport taxes, gratuities and other evening meals.

ACTIVITIES / HISTORY
Everywhere you look in this unique county you will see the Roman Viking and Anglo-Saxon chapters of Britain's history book. Activities center around the crafts, culture, heritage and religion depicted in museums, studios, castles and homes of our British friends.



SCENERY
From historic Bath to the cliffs of Eastbourne, through the bucolic Cotswold and on to Salisbury plain, we will explore green rolling hillsides, lofty cliffs overlooking the sea, lush woodlands, hidden waterfalls, majestic castle estates, friendly villages and classic cities.

LODGING AND DINING
We have selected high quality olde world B&B; inns and classic country manors, all with three crown service facilities. Our dining will be full English breakfasts, wine, cheese & fruit style picnics and varied dinners of local produce, game and seafood.

OUR ON TOUR HOOKING INSTRUCTOR
Carol Harvey-Clark, inspired by her son,began hooking eight years ago following a visit to Maine. Since taking Nan Ryan's beginner course, Carol has studied with Dorothy Haight, Carolyn Mosher, Muriel Peverin, Doris Eaton, Carol Morse, Jean Young, and Doris Wentzell. Now a partner in Spruce Top Rug Hooking Studio in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, she is also a member of the teachers branch of the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia, the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild and President of the International Guild of Handhooking Rug Makers. Simply stated, Carol loves rug hooking and enjoys sharing her experience with others.



YOUR GUIDES
Nancy and Bruce are full time innkeepers at the Whitman Inn of Caledonia, Nova Scotia. Their love of travel has persuaded them to create the Whitman Walkers, a partnership dedicated to offering personalized holiday experiences. Their walking and special interest trips include Scotland, Costa Rica, Germany, Austria, England and Wales.
