"SALTBOX HOUSE and STONE WALL"
Hooked and Designed by Jane
The title of this pattern, speaks for itself. It is a primitive and is very interesting to hook because of its simplicity. I enjoyed hooking this pattern. Checks, palids and tweeds played a big part in both the house and the border, which represents a stone wall. The design can serve as a small wall hanging or a rug. It is a fun rug to do if your are looking for a relaxing project to hook.
My New England upbringing inspired me to do the stone wall border. I built a few around my home in Massachusetts. Everywhere in New England there are stone walls. It is one way to use stone when clearing property, and I had more than my share.
